Celeno Communications and Ubee Interactive have jointly announced integration of Celeno’s implicit beamforming technology into its xDSL Gateway product line.

In contrast to the explicit beamforming technique which relies on special client devices designed to support explicit beamforming, Celeno implements a unique client-agnostic implicit beamforming scheme in the Access Point, which does not require any cooperation from the client device.
This technology enables the gateway to provide increased throughput and coverage to any client: laptop, tablet or smartphone, regardless of its Wi-Fi generation (11bgn or 11ac) or manufacturer.
