According to a latest update, the technology firm Wipro has bagged a $200-million (Rs 1,090 crore) technology service contract in Europe. If reports are to be believed, this is Wipro’s one of the largest deal in 2012.
It is reportedly said that the latest deal is seen as a "strategic partnership", which will offer information technology infrastructure to a European telecom equipment-maker. Besides offering telecom infrastructure, it will also facilitate the European firm to make its research and development more innovative.
According to the reports, the deal has already been signed in the last week.
Market analysts further added, Wipro’s revenue report will witness the positive changes from the December quarter, backed by the present deal. Presently, Wipro has nearly 25 clients contributing at least $50 million or more into revenues.
The latest deal has come as a relief to Wipro which is struggling to find new work these days because of lower technology spending by telecom service providers and equipment-makers in the face of non-profitable growth.
