World’s cheapest car to be manufactured in India
2019 had seen problems faced by the auto industry. But with the beginning of 2020, we bring you two cars that will be affordable to the common crowd as their prices will be under 10 lakh.
Here are the world’s cheapest cars, priced at 6 lakh and will be manufactured in India in 2020.
The Chinese automaker, Great Wall Motors recently announced its plans to enter India with its Haval and Ora brands, via a newly created Twitter account.
The company tweeted, “Namaste India! All set for great things ahead.”
The company shall showcase these products at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.
Great Wall is planning to open their site in Maharashtra for conducting Indian operations in the second half of 2020.
ORA R1: World’s cheapest electric car
Great Wall’s ORA R1 is said to be the world's cheapest electric car. This car made its China debut almost recently, under the newly created EV-subsidiary and is termed as ‘new generation of electric cars’.
The company sells three EVs under the ORA brand - R1, R2 and iQ. Speaking of ORA R1 car, the electric car has a maximum cruising range of 351 km, as it consists of 35kv motor.
Haval: SUV range car
Alongside ORA R1, the automaker is also known to introduce Haval into the Indian market. While the former is an electric car, the latter is the automaker’s SUV range.
Speaking of it, the Haval is an SUV focused brand and the company is expected to bring Haval H4 to the Indian market, which shall serve as a mid-SUV, competing against the likes of MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
