YouTube Down: Users Unable to Watch Videos
Several users on Monday reported that they were unable to access the homepage of YouTube or play videos on the Google-owned streaming platform. More than 8,000 people reported issues with the service, according to DownDetector. YouTube later tweeted a statement saying the issue had been fixed and users should be able to access the homepage without any issues.
Meanwhile YouTube users have also reported issues accessing the website on sites such as Twitter, saying they've been receiving server error 429 or 400 messages.
As the YouTube issues hit users took to Twitter to report issues with the site. One tweeted: "Is YouTube down or am I the only one with issues?" And another wrote: "#YouTubeDOWN again". According to Down Detector stats, 48 percent of YouTube down issues were to do with problems watching videos online. While 45 percent of reported YouTube problems were related to issues accessing the site.
