Thousands of Samsung TV users in the United States were left frustrated as a widespread Samsung TV outage disrupted popular streaming apps including Netflix, Peacock, and YouTube TV.
According to DownDetector, a website that monitors service interruptions, over 2,000 outage reports poured in yesterday, indicating a nationwide disruption. Users reported that their Samsung Smart TVs were unable to load apps or connect to servers.
Users Vent on Social Media
Frustrated owners took to X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms to complain:
“Can’t even watch TV tonight because the Samsung server is down,” one user wrote.
Another said, “Took down my five-year-old Samsung TV thinking it broke, bought a new 2025 model—same issue. Turns out it’s the server!”
A third user shared, “I factory reset my Samsung TV, reinstalled everything, and realized it wasn’t me—it’s everyone.”
Many users said the outage caused unnecessary resets and app re-logins, sparking a flood of memes and frustration online.
As of now, Samsung has not released an official statement regarding the cause of the outage or when services will be restored. The South Korea-based tech giant is expected to address the issue if the server downtime persists.
