Over the week, Apple engineers will lead more than 100 online technical sessions offering in-depth guidance on integrating new APIs, frameworks, and features across Swift development, UI design, graphics, machine learning, and gaming technologies
Apple has officially confirmed that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC25) will be held online from June 9 to 13. Continuing its recent tradition of virtual events, this year’s conference will be free for all attendees and aims to bring developers together from around the world to explore Apple’s latest technologies and software innovations.
The event will open with a keynote address on June 9 at 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. IST), where Apple is expected to announce significant updates to its major operating systems — iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. The keynote will be streamed live on Apple’s official website, YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app, with replays available afterward.
Following the keynote, Apple will present the Platforms State of the Union at 1 p.m. PDT. This session will provide an in-depth overview of new tools and technologies designed to help developers build more powerful and efficient applications across Apple’s platforms. It will be accessible via the Apple Developer app, the official website, and YouTube.
Expert sessions and developer labs
Throughout the week, over 100 technical sessions will be available online, led by Apple engineers and specialists. These sessions will offer detailed guidance on integrating new APIs, frameworks, and features, covering areas such as Swift development, user interface design, graphics, machine learning, and gaming technologies.
Developers enrolled in Apple’s Developer and Enterprise Programs will also have access to online group labs and one-on-one sessions with Apple experts. These opportunities will allow direct engagement on technical challenges and implementation strategies within Apple’s development environment.
This year’s conference will also spotlight 50 winners of the Swift Student Challenge, who have been invited to Apple Park for a special three-day experience recognizing their creativity and coding talent.
All WWDC25 content will remain accessible on-demand through the Apple Developer app, the Developer website, and Apple’s YouTube channel, ensuring inclusive participation for the global developer community. With expectations high, WWDC25 is poised to be a key moment for Apple’s next wave of innovation.
