Notable names among the investors include Cognizant, Adani Energy, Raymond, and Reliance, among others, signaling strong industry confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s growth prospects.
This development is part of the government’s broader push to incentivize investments in backward and underdeveloped areas, with additional subsidies and support measures for companies committing long-term capital and employment generation. Alongside Cognizant’s plan, the SIPB also approved renewable energy projects by the Adani Group worth over ₹18,000 crore across districts like Kadapa and others—expected to generate over 10,000 new jobs in the clean energy sector.
The Cognizant investment in Andhra Pradesh marks a significant milestone for both the company’s Indian operations and the state's ambitions to become a national tech and employment hub, powered by policy-driven growth, infrastructure expansion, and sustainable development.
