Today at Google Cloud Next ‘26, Google Cloud announced a wave of innovations designed to help every organization become an Agentic Enterprise. Anchored by a unified stack designed to turn intelligence into a growth engine for business, these advancements enable organizations to move beyond simple chatbots to autonomous agents that can perceive, reason, and act to drive tangible results.
“Gemini Enterprise is now the end-to-end system for the Agentic Era—the connective tissue between your data, your people, and all of your apps and agents that transforms all of your processes into a single, intelligent flow,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud. “This isn't about offering individual services that can be cobbled together; we are offering a vertically optimized stack where everything is co-developed to deliver the scale and efficiency required for this new era of production AI.”
The transition to an Agentic Enterprise is already delivering results for global leaders. In fact, nearly 75% of Google Cloud customers are using our AI products to power their businesses. In addition, over the past 12 months, 330 Google Cloud customers each processed more than one trillion tokens, while 35 reached the 10-trillion-token milestone with our models. Our first-party models now process more than 16 billion tokens per minute via direct API use by our customers, up from 10 billion last quarter.

Gemini Enterprise: Bringing the Agentic Enterprise to Life
Google Cloud is launching Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform – a new, comprehensive platform to build, scale, govern, and optimize agents. This evolution of Vertex AI integrates its model selection, model building, and agent building capabilities with new features for agent integration, DevOps, orchestration, and security.
Agent Platform provides a single destination for your technical teams to build agents that can transform your products, services, and operations. These agents are seamlessly delivered to your employees through the Gemini Enterprise app, all while remaining tightly integrated with IT operations to help ensure control, governance, and security as you scale.
The platform also provides first-class access to the world’s leading models, including Gemini 3.1 Pro—our most advanced model, optimized for complex workflow orchestration; Gemini 3.1 Flash Image, also known as Nano Banana 2, to generate high-fidelity user interfaces and visual assets; Lyria 3—our state-of-the-art model for generating professional-grade audio and music; and leading models from Anthropic, including Claude Opus, Sonnet and Haiku. And today, we are also adding support for Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.7.

Introducing 8th Generation TPUs: Two Chips, One System for the Agentic Era
Google Cloud is introducing the eighth generation of Google's custom Tensor Processor Unit (TPU), with two distinct, purpose-built architectures for training and inference: TPU 8t and TPU 8i. These two specialized chips are built to redefine what is possible in AI, from building the most capable AI models to swarms of agents perfectly orchestrated, to managing the most complex reasoning tasks.
Each chip serves a distinct purpose:
The training powerhouse – TPU 8t is optimized to reduce frontier model development from months to weeks. This is achieved via a system that balances the highest possible compute throughput, shared memory, and interchip bandwidth, with the best possible power efficiency and productive compute time.
The reasoning engine – TPU 8i is built to power the ideal agentic AI user experience: ask a question, delegate a task to an agent, and get a response – now, not in five seconds. It pairs 288 GB of high-bandwidth memory with 384 MB of on-chip SRAM — 3x more than the previous generation — keeping a model's active working set entirely on-chip.
Together, these innovations deliver 80% better performance-per-dollar compared to the previous generation, enabling businesses to serve nearly twice the customer volume at the same cost to enable profitable growth. Both chips will be generally available later this year.

Protecting the Agentic Enterprise: Security Built for the AI Era
Google Cloud offers an AI-powered cybersecurity platform that combines Google’s Threat Intelligence and Security Operations with Wiz’s Cloud and AI Security Platform to prevent, detect, and respond to threats across all environments. Customers are already benefiting from its Triage and Investigation Agent which has processed more than 5 million alerts to date, reducing a typical 30-minute manual analysis to 60 seconds with Gemini.
To take its commitment to multicloud security further, Wiz now supports Databricks as well as new agent studios like AWS Agentcore, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Microsoft Azure Copilot Studio, and Salesforce Agentforce, so customers gain visibility however their teams choose to build.
Google Cloud is also introducing three new agents in Google Security Operations to help companies defend at the speed of AI:
Dark Web Intelligence builds anuanced profile of your organization using the newest Gemini models, based on Google Threat Intelligence Group’s dark web expertise. Internal tests show it can analyze millions of daily external events with 98% accuracy to help elevate only the threats that truly matter to your organization.
Threat Hunting Agent uses Google’s massive threat intelligence knowledge to allow teams to proactively hunt for novel attack patterns and adversary behaviors that bypass traditional defenses.
Detection Engineering Agent generates persistent detection rules for threat scenarios, transforming detection creation from a manual craft into an automated process.
To secure the agentic web, reCAPTCHA is evolving into Google Cloud Fraud Defense. Now generally available, this comprehensive platform is designed to discern the legitimacy and authorization of bots, humans and agents. Using the same scale and signals that protect Google’s own ecosystem, Fraud Defense will soon offer in preview agent-specific capabilities for human users and AI agents that can help secure the digital commerce journey, from account creation and login to payment and checkout.

The Agentic Taskforce: Redefining Engagement and Productivity
Google is introducing Workspace Intelligence — a semantic unifying layer that breaks down information and context silos for a user and their agents. By leveraging the deep semantic context of your digital workflows that span across meeting notes, emails, files, and more, it creates an intelligence layer grounded in one’s unique context that can fundamentally change the way they work. This includes:
Workspace Agent in Gemini Enterprise can execute complex, multi-step tasks across Google Workspace apps without having to leave Gemini Enterprise.
AI Inbox and AI Overviews in Gmail uses Gemini to create a personal, proactive inbox assistant.
Ask Gemini in Google Chat instantly synthesizes information, surfaces insights, and queries projects from across Workspace directly from Chat.
Reimagined content creation in Docs, Sheets, and Slides instantly synthesizes information from Drive, Gmail, and the web to transform ideas into professionally formatted drafts in Docs that mimic a user’s exact voice and style.
Google Drive Projects is a new, intelligent space that instantly organizes a team's files and emails to manage workflows, generate content, and deliver specific answers based on rich project context.

“Transformation to an Agentic Enterprise is the future of every organization,” added Kurian. “Our AI Hypercomputer provides the scalable foundation, our Data Cloud provides the context, our Agentic Defense provides the protection, and our Agent Platform provides the orchestration. The technology is here—now it’s time to build your growth engine.”
