Adobe and NVIDIA deepen AI alliance to speed up creative tools and cloud video work

Adobe and NVIDIA have widened their partnership to make Photoshop, Premiere and other apps run faster, speed up cloud video handling in Frame.io, and power more personalised customer conversations through Brand Concierge.

Adobe and NVIDIA have announced that they are extending their collaboration, using artificial intelligence and accelerated computing to improve how creative software performs. The work covers five Adobe products: Photoshop, Premiere, Substance 3D, Frame.io and Brand Concierge. It will draw on NVIDIA’s computing technologies and open AI models.

Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D are being tuned for NVIDIA RTX Spark, a compact AI computing platform. The companies say the optimised apps can deliver up to twice the speed for AI processing, editing, colour grading and effects, which should let creators finish tasks and test new ideas sooner.

In Photoshop, GPU-accelerated compositing is meant to make tools such as Remove Tool, Gaussian Blur and Light Leaks feel more responsive. Premiere will gain RTX acceleration for playback, rendering, colour and effects, along with AI features including Enhance Speech and Object Mask. Users of Substance 3D Painter can expect quicker results during heavy texturing work.

Cloud video gets a boost

Adobe is also bringing NVIDIA’s technologies into Frame.io, its cloud platform for video collaboration, to accelerate media processing and content discovery. The revised pipeline relies on NVIDIA NVDEC for hardware-based video decoding, while TensorRT and CUDA handle content preprocessing and the generation of embeddings, the data representations that power search.

Early results from selected transcoding and search workloads point to roughly five times faster embedding generation. The companies also report a four-to-five-fold gain in 95th-percentile processing latency, and search proxies that are about 80 percent smaller. In practice, production teams should be able to search newly uploaded footage sooner and manage larger media libraries with less strain.

Smarter customer conversations

Adobe Brand Concierge, a tool that helps businesses offer conversational customer experiences, is being optimised with NVIDIA’s Nemotron open models. The updated version is expected to reach enterprise customers later in 2026.

NVIDIA has chosen Brand Concierge to run personalised interactions on its own website, NVIDIA.com. The system will draw on organisational data and content to give responses suited to each visitor’s needs.

The latest announcement builds on a strategic partnership the two firms unveiled in March, which spanned creative production, marketing workflows, AI models and 3D digital twin applications. Both companies plan to present their newest work for creators at Adobe MAX, scheduled for November 10 to 12.
