ADVA 100G Metro upgrades JSC Fortex’s 10G Services
To upgrade existing 10G services and prepare for increased bandwidth demand from its mix of business and residential customers, ADVA Optical Networking has announced that JSC Fortex has deployed its 100G Metro solution throughout Moscow and the surrounding regions. With a network covering over 3,000 km of fiber, JSC Fortex is using the ADVA 100G Metro. It was selected by JSC Fortex because of its plug-and-play simplicity, especially when upgrading existing services. Installed by IT integrators, Connect Unit, JSC Fortex expects to make further deployments of the ADVA 100G Metro throughout 2013.
Stephan Rettenberger, Vice-President Marketing, ADVA Optical Networking, said, When talking to our customers, one thing is very clear. They want simplicity. They want ease of use. They want plug and play. This is why our ADVA 100G Metro is proving so popular in the industry. For JSC Fortex, this simplicity was critical in upgrading its current 10G services. With an incredibly diverse range of business and residential customers, JSC Fortex couldn't risk any downtime, any costly delays with this upgrade.
Fully integrated into the ADVA FSP 3000, ADVA Optical Networking's 100G Metro solution is built on 4x28G direct detection technology. This solution is a direct response to customers' demands for efficient 100Gbit/s data transport across distances of up to 500 km.
