Aircel announces New Roaming Plan for Travellers to Myanmar
For ensuring international roaming services for customers travelling across Myanmar, Aircel has announced its partnership with Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT). This roaming facility is available for postpaid subscribers of all Aircel circles. With this exclusive partnership, according to the alliance, Aircel reports that it will become the first Indian telecom operator to offer such services to its customers for Myanmar.
Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said, Aircel is committed to offer its valuable customers with innovative products and services and ensure they are always well connected. A sizeable number of customers travel to Myanmar for work and leisure and our international roaming services will allow them to be connected 24X7. The customers will now be able to enjoy roaming facilities in all the key destinations in Myanmar.
After launching its revolutionary product “One Nation One Rate”, Aircel has started this service of international roaming for its postpaid customers.
As per this new service, the customers will be charged with Rs.55/min for outgoing calls within Myanmar. The outgoing calls to India/other countries will cost them Rs.80/min, whereas for the incoming calls, the applicable rates will be Rs.60 per minute.
