The collaboration introduces a secure, on-premises edge AI platform powered by NVIDIA accelerated computing, aimed at enabling manufacturers, MSMEs and infrastructure operators to deploy real-time artificial intelligence with low latency, data sovereignty and operational reliability.
Altos Computing, part of the Acer Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with Industry.AI to roll out YodaEdge, an edge-first artificial intelligence platform designed for industrial and urban deployments across India.
The platform, powered by NVIDIA accelerated computing, seeks to help manufacturers, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and infrastructure operators integrate AI capabilities directly into on-ground operations. The companies said the initiative aligns with India’s ambition to strengthen manufacturing and build a resilient, technology-driven economy.
Edge-first architecture to address AI adoption barriers
As India targets long-term economic expansion, AI adoption in manufacturing and infrastructure has faced hurdles including cloud dependence, latency issues, data security risks and deployment complexity in industrial environments. YodaEdge aims to overcome these challenges with an on-premises, edge-based architecture that enables enterprises to process data locally while retaining control over sensitive information.
The solution integrates Industry.AI’s Orion industrial AI platform with Altos’ edge-optimised infrastructure servers, accelerated by NVIDIA GPUs and AI software. Positioned as a pre-integrated “AI in a Box” offering, the system allows enterprises to deploy AI workloads without relying heavily on distant cloud infrastructure, supporting data localisation and self-reliance objectives.
Commenting on the partnership, Priya Murthy, Director, Altos India, said, “India’s next phase of digital and industrial growth will depend on how effectively intelligence is embedded into physical infrastructure. Through our Altos portfolio of workstations, we are focused on delivering data centre-grade AI performance at the edge, where latency, reliability, and security are critical. Our collaboration with Industry.AI on YodaEdge enables enterprises to deploy scalable, sovereign AI solutions that are practical, resilient, and designed for real industrial environments.”
Industrial use cases and MSME focus
Designed for factory floors and distributed infrastructure, YodaEdge supports applications such as computer vision-based safety monitoring, predictive maintenance and AI-powered knowledge assistants that provide real-time access to operational data. Industry benchmarks cited by the companies indicate AI-led safety systems can reduce incidents by up to 70 per cent, while predictive maintenance can cut downtime by as much as 50 per cent.
The platform also aims to expand AI adoption among MSMEs, which contribute significantly to India’s GDP and manufacturing output, by simplifying deployment and enabling measurable returns within operational cycles.
Tejpreet Chopra, Founder and CEO of Industry.AI, said: “For AI to create real value in manufacturing and infrastructure, it must operate where decisions are made — on the factory floor and at the edge. YodaEdge is built for exactly this reality. Powered by Orion OS, the operating system for manufacturing, and informed by years of hands-on AI implementation across automotive, steel, airports, and more, YodaEdge™ brings unmatched industrial intelligence to the edge. With proprietary machine language models and autonomous agents, it delivers real-time insights with the reliability and security enterprises demand. Partnering with Altos allows us to scale this capability across India, helping organisations move from reactive operations to intelligence-driven decision-making.”
The companies said wider deployments across manufacturing clusters and infrastructure projects are expected to position YodaEdge as a foundational platform for industrial AI adoption in India.
