Andhra Signs 7 AI Education MoUs at Summit
At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu positioned education at the heart of the State’s artificial intelligence strategy, overseeing the signing of seven key MoUs and Letters of Intent focused on higher education, skilling and school transformation.
A Letter of Intent with IBM India Pvt. Ltd. aims to skill one lakh learners over three to five years in AI, cybersecurity and quantum computing, leveraging IBM’s global digital learning platforms to build an industry-ready workforce.
The State also partnered with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) to establish a Centre of Excellence for AI and Quantum at Amaravati Quantum Valley in 2026, positioning the city as a secure, UN-grade digital hub.
In higher education, a MoU with National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) will set up the first Deemed-to-be University campus in South India dedicated to Quantum and AI, supported by MeitY funding and state-provided infrastructure.
AI Academies across 50+ colleges and a State AI Sandbox will be rolled out with Cabilo AI and Calibo Inc., while a WISER Talent Hub under Amaravati Quantum Valley will build a multi-tier AI and quantum talent pipeline.
Extending AI to schools, the State signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Bodhan AI to launch a curriculum-aligned AI Tutor across schools, built as sovereign Digital Public Infrastructure compliant with the DPDP Act 2023.
For Andhra Pradesh, AI is not just economic policy—it is an education-first transformation strategy.
