Co-Founder of Mindtree, Anjan Lahiri, has announced that he is going to quit from the board and from his position as President of IT services. The reason he mentioned regarding the decision was that he wants to pursue a career in technology but outside of IT services.

Anjan Lahiri stated, "It will definitely be in technology but it will be new, unique and different. There is a world of innovation out there. When I was in MindTree, I didn't have the time to think of these engagements."

Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO & Co-Founder, MindTree, said, "Anjan played a crucial role in helping MindTree to a position that we are in today. Anjan played a pivotal role in setting up and rapidly growing the MindTree’s European operations and helped set up our New Jersey and San Jose offices. As the president and head of ITS, Anjan took the business to greater levels, now comparable to some of the large players"

He also informed that he has sold approximately 70% of his holdings over the last month. Lahiri also reported that one of the options he is considering is a lead role in a start-up venture where his key strength will be in understanding the business impact of technology.
