Avnet Technology Solutions has unveiled their first IBM Business Partner Innovation Centre (BPIC) in India. This is Avnet's second such facility in the Asia-Pacific region.
Located at Avnet Technology Solutions India's sales office in Powai, Mumbai, the BPIC will showcase a wide range of emerging business solutions based on IBM software and hardware platforms available for Avnet business partners. Avnet's business partners will use this centre to test customer-specific solutions in a fully interactive, real-world environment either on-location or remotely. The Centre will showcase virtualization, disaster recovery, storage, automation and security solutions for a number of industry sectors. These solutions will run on IBM's latest hardware platforms including IBM POWER7, IBM eX5 and Blade servers. The Centre will enable Avnet to work closely with their business partners and collaboratively generate demand for new opportunities and drive new strategic initiatives through the IBM Ecosystem programme.

In addition to technology demonstrations, the Business Partner Innovation Centre enables Avnet to provide hands-on solution design consultation, proof-of-concept support and carry out custom educational workshops.
