An international workplace study has found that three out of five workers worldwide believe that they do not need to be in the office anymore to be productive. The Cisco Connected World Report study was commissioned by Cisco.
The survey of 2,600 workers and IT professionals was conducted in 13 countries (United States, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Russia, India, China, Japan, and Australia),
Cisco has also announced new products and services across all the functional elements of its Borderless Network Architecture - the switching, routing, security, and wireless portfolios.
Notable additions include the highest-performing and high-density Catalyst switch, Adaptive Security Appliance firewall and compact ASR 1000 router in their classes; new entry-level 802.11n wireless access points for smaller businesses; and new and enhanced smart services offerings.
In the direction of expanding its data center product and services, Cisco introduced Unified Network Services which are designed to deliver any network service in any environment and in any form factor.
