Following the partnership announcement with Nvidia and Leapmotor, BlackBerry’s stock surged over 13% during Monday’s trading session. This indicates strong market confidence in its growth outlook.
As part of its collaboration with Nvidia, BlackBerry will integrate its QNX operating system with Nvidia’s IGX Thor platform. This partnership is expected to strengthen capabilities in edge computing and artificial intelligence, further enhancing BlackBerry’s position in the smart mobility and autonomous driving space.
In a separate development, Chinese electric vehicle company, Leapmotor has selected QNX as a core software platform for its upcoming D19 electric SUV, with production scheduled to begin this month. This move marks another step in BlackBerry’s expansion within the electric vehicle ecosystem.
While financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed, both partnerships reinforce QNX’s standing as a provider of dependable and adaptable software solutions, helping to further cement BlackBerry’s role in the Internet of Things (IoT) landscape.
