Blind man can run 5 km without guide dog with Google's AI system in US

It seems that god has created the earth ad human being and rest technology creates many things .

A blind man in the US ran 5 kilometres in New York’s Central park without a human or dog, which we have been heard from many in the recent past. Now by using Google's trial AI-based system called Project Guideline.

"The safest thing for a blind man is to sit still. I ain't sitting still," said Thomas Panek, 50, who lost his vision in his early 20s due to a genetic condition and runs Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a guide dog school.

A Project Guideline app uses the phone's camera to track a guideline that's been painted on a course. The app then sends audio cues to bone-conducting headphones when a runner moves away from the line.

He turned to Google to find a way for a phone to "tell me where to go," said Panek, who believes "humans are born to run." As reported by Reuters.

He worked with the Alphabet Inc unit to create a research program. A smartphone camera picks up a painted 'guideline' on a running track. An app detects the runner's position and gives audio guidance through an earpiece.
