BSB join hands with MongoDB to scale its Messaging App

1 min read0 views

Bharti SoftBank Holdings (BSB) has launched an instant messaging app - Hike. Besides this, BSB has also announced its association with the leading NoSQL database MongoDB. Through this engagement in India, Bharti SoftBank will leverage MongoDB to manage its subscriber growth. Growing in popularity, Hike anticipates increasing global engagement depending on the rate of adoption of BSB’s messaging platform.

Kamal Brar, APAC GM at MongoDB, said, “This partnership comes at a crucial time as BSB’s Hike recently crossed the 15-million user mark in a span of just nine months. It is on track to become one of the leading messaging applications in the country. With its natural development model, MongoDB will provide BSB with the much-needed platform to cater and scale its operations as well as offer faster, real-time analytics across a variety of applications.”

MongoDB has collaborated with organizations worldwide and has a thriving global community with over 7 million downloads of its open-source database, 1,000 customers, 150,000 online education registrations, 30,000 user group members and 20,000 MongoDB Days attendees. Some of the commonly used cases include operational and analytical big data, content management and delivery, mobile and social infrastructure, user data management and data hub.
