The all-in-one platform integrates AI, design, and teamwork tools to streamline creativity and brand management for over 260 million users worldwide, ushering in the new ‘Imagination Era’
Canva has launched its Creative Operating System (Creative OS), marking its biggest product evolution since inception. The platform brings together design, artificial intelligence, collaboration, and brand management into a single ecosystem aimed at empowering individuals and businesses to create, scale, and innovate more efficiently.
Built on Canva’s proprietary Design Foundational Model, the world’s first AI trained to understand visual principles such as layout, structure, and hierarchy, the Creative OS integrates every stage of content creation — from ideation and design to publishing and performance analytics.
“With more than 260 million monthly active users and a valuation of $42 billion, Canva’s mission is to drive the transition from the Information Era to the Imagination Era,” said Melanie Perkins, Co-founder and CEO of Canva. “This new platform blends creativity and technology to help teams design smarter, faster, and on-brand — no matter their skill level.”
A supercharged visual suite with built-in AI
At the heart of the Creative OS lies a revamped Visual Suite featuring Video 2.0, Email Design, and Forms. The new video editor offers professional-grade editing tools that work seamlessly across devices. The Email Design tool allows teams to craft and export marketing campaigns directly from Canva, while Forms enable creators to gather feedback and responses within their designs, synced automatically with Canva Sheets.
A deeply integrated AI layer now enhances every creative workflow. The Design Foundational Model generates editable, on-brand visuals instantly, while Ask @Canva acts as an embedded assistant providing design suggestions, smart edits, and content recommendations on demand.
Empowering brands and businesses
Canva’s Brand System and Canva Grow expand its role beyond design into marketing and business growth. These tools help brands maintain visual consistency, automate content optimization, and measure campaign performance in real time.
In a major surprise, Canva also reintroduced Affinity, its professional-grade suite for vector and photo design — now available free of cost. This move bridges the gap between professional designers and everyday creators, reinforcing Canva’s ambition to become the global hub for creativity and collaboration.
