To set up India's largest e-waste recycling unit in Bangalore, Cerebra Integrated Technologies has partnered with Cimelia Resource Recovery. The Government of Karnataka has allotted 10 acres of land for the proposed unit, to be set up by Cimelia and jointly managed by Cerebra.

With this alliance, Cerebra can look forward to double its e-waste management capacity from 30,000 to 60,000 tonnes annually. Additionally, the company will be better equipped to recycle e-waste in the domestic market and will also get a foothold in the international market as well.

On the other hand, through this alliance, Cimelia will get an entry in the Indian e-waste industry and will leverage Cerebra's domestic network and infrastructure to cater to its existing Indian clients. During the next three years, Cimelia plans to shift its copper smelting unit to India and also set up a plastic to fuel plant unit in the country.
