Channel 4 has announced the appointment of Priya Dogra as its new Chief Executive, signalling a major leadership shift for the UK’s publicly owned, commercially funded broadcaster. Dogra, currently Chief Advertising, Group Data & New Revenue Officer at Sky, brings over two decades of global media experience spanning the US, UK, and European markets.
Known for her strategic expertise in digital transformation, data-driven growth, and commercial innovation, Dogra has held several senior roles across WarnerMedia and Sky. She has been a key architect in modernising media operations, driving new revenue models, and strengthening global content ecosystems—experience that positions her strongly to lead Channel 4 through the next phase of its evolution.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time, as Channel 4 navigates intense competition from global streaming giants, shifts in advertising markets, and a rapidly changing digital landscape. The Board highlighted Dogra’s proven ability to blend creativity with commercial acumen, making her the right leader to guide the broadcaster's transformation while preserving its public-service mission.
Dogra will succeed Alex Mahon, becoming one of the most influential leaders in British media. Her mandate will include accelerating digital-first strategies, enhancing audience reach, and ensuring Channel 4 remains a bold, innovative force in UK broadcasting.
