Belize Telemedia is getting ready to launch the nation's first joint voicemail system, powered by Comverse. This new voicemail system for both wireline and mobile subscribers will replace two legacy systems. The Comverse HUB Next Generation Voicemail solution will allow subscribers to get their home, work and mobile voicemail in a single inbox, accessible over any interface, such as their mobile handset or Web portal. The service also will allow Telemedia's subscribers to have voicemail messages converted to email and forwarded to their email accounts.
The Comverse solution will also provide customers the option of using a Fax Call Answering Feature. The system will automatically detect a fax signal when the subscriber is receiving a fax, and the fax message will be received and stored in their mailbox. The customer then will be able to print this fax message by accessing their mailbox or a fax machine.
