Connecting Data Protection And Zero Trust For The Dpdp Era

Turning Partnership Into Impact Hitachi's edge is rich, two-decades-deep experience in data security and protection - built well before zero trust became a category. That experience is what we bring to the Zscaler relationship, helping both Zscaler and the customer adopt data protection and zero trust with precedent behind every decision, not a generic playbook. Our Zscaler Data Security certification and recognized ZTNA delivery status put us squarely at the intersection of regulatory compliance and Zero Trust security. We translate regulatory requirement into technical control. That's our positioning: architecture built around regulatory compliance first, with Zero Trust as the mechanism that delivers it. Customers simply lack visibility into where their PII data lives. Beyond that, most aren't aware of how the DPDP Act specifically impacts their organisation. We address both by giving them that visibility first, before anything else.

Bringing Dpdp Compliance Into A Security Framework With respect to DPDP, DSPM gives visibility into where regulated data sits, DLP and CASB govern how it moves and is protected. Hitachi brings these together into one coherent architecture rather than disconnected tools, so the customer sees a single solution mapped to their compliance need. Besides, because we manage the customer, we get to know them well at the time an actual incident is happening. Our SOC team, with threat intel capability, is able to quantify the incident - leading to faster containment and faster notification.

Ztna In The Context Of Dpdp Compliance

We position Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) beyond a network access tool - as a data protection control. By limiting access to only what's needed, it

directly reduces how much sensitive data is exposed if an identity is compromised, which is the language boards and CISOs care about.

One Security Architecture, Multiple Regulations We build architecture complying to NIST frameworks. That gives customers, irrespective of the sector that they are from, a single security architecture that satisfies multiple sector mandates at once, without compliance fatigue.

Key Message To Customers We demonstrated what we're doing as a Glasswing partner for Anthropic and OpenAI, and how this helps customers get visibility and correlation on their PII data. That's the message and the starting point for a customer's DPDP compliance journey in the AI era with Hitachi and Zscaler.
