Dassault Systemes releases latest version of SolidWorks Education 2013-14
Intending to enable students to create models easier and faster as well as provide wider connectivity for expansion of collaboration between the users, Dassault Systèmes has unveiled a new 3D design application and curriculum, “SolidWorks Education Edition 2013-2014”. The new edition includes new functionalities to simplify complex design tasks.
The curriculum will include teaching guides and lessons to provide educators with additional support for developing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum. In addition, qualified schools will be provided the SolidWorks Student Edition licences at no charge for use by their students. Schools with a SolidWorks Education subscription can also administer the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam to their students.
Bertrand Sicot, CEO, SolidWorks, Dassault Systèmes, said, We are passionate about providing our community of designers and engineers at every level with the means to expand their abilities through formal training, certification and informal connections with other users. The latest release of SolidWorks Education Edition helps prepare the next generation of design leaders for their future successes with the tools to allow them to immediately contribute.
Powered by Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the new education edition includes enhancements such as SolidWorks Plastics, SolidWorks Simulation Premium, SolidWorks Flow Simulation and SolidWorks Sustainability. These enhancements will provide students an insight to predict and avoid manufacturing defects during the earliest stages of plastics part and injection mould design.
