The Department of Science & Technology’s National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) and Dell India have announced the launch of the SME Technology & Mentorship Forum. This initiative provides a platform for SMEs to obtain strong academic insights and real-life experiences from experts, through a combination of plenary seminars along with 1-to-1 and 1-to-many mentoring opportunities. This series of training programmes would be held across Mumbai, Chennai and NCR. The New Delhi TMF will be held on April 8, 2010.
Ravi Bharadwaj, General Manager – SMB, Dell India, said, “With this initiative, we aim to offer emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity to build new perspectives of running a business facilitated by technology.”
TMF has been designed as day-long training sessions, involving a strong interface for participants with academy and industry who will present conceptual frameworks and provide foundational strength to the programme. Participants will benefit directly through improved appreciation of the benefits of integrating entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, together with risk management. A robust panel of successful entrepreneurs, which will bring rich experience and deep insight into industry and functional verticals, would address real challenges and issues faced by SMEs.
Through the TMF, Dell and NSTEDB aim to develop, foster and promote a class of technology-savvy entrepreneurs who understand that technology could be a key differentiator for their businesses and are able to leverage it for larger opportunities.
