Blue Coat Systems Inc. has named Dr. Hugh Thompson as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Strategist. In his new role, he will focus on aligning Blue Coat's vision and product implementation to market requirements. Dr. Thompson will report to President and Chief Operating Officer David Murphy.
