Facebook lures 'Shops' to set up online stores, seems huge bottelnecks

Facebook launched a new feature called 'Shops' to let small businesses set up a single online store on the platform and Instagram for free. The shops will be supported by third-party software like Shopify and BigCommerce. Now a question is on how these data’s would be secured ?

The model of retail cloud orchestration is coming in a big way, which we call as the Consumer to small business ( C to B) space, which is the need of the hour but the challenge would be no one will upload the stock detail and sales order. If they will not upload these details, what facebook wants to monetise from ( C to B and some cases B to C) opportunity, it won't be viable for a right business model but somehow the subscription may increase.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the new feature during a livestream. A Shop would function on a business‘s page or profile, from which a customer could browse their collection of goods.

According to Facebook, setting up a Shop is relatively straightforward: “Creating a Facebook Shop is free and simple. Businesses can choose the products they want to feature from their catalog and then customize the look and feel of their shop with a cover image and accent colors that showcase their brand. This means any seller, no matter their size or budget, can bring their business online and connect with customers wherever and whenever it’s convenient for them.

These would effectively turn Facebook and Instagram pages into digital storefronts, and the company is pitching it for small businesses. Now a question is on with the growing fake accounts in Facebook,Instagram already creating havoc in the industry.
