Google has officially launched direct online sales for its Pixel lineup through the Google Store in India, enabling consumers nationwide to purchase smartphones, earbuds, watches, and official accessories directly from the company for the first time. This strategic move complements Google's growing offline and online retail presence and reflects a deeper push to bring its AI-powered hardware ecosystem closer to Indian users.
Mitul Shah, Managing Director, Devices and Services, Google India, stated, “India is a priority market for Pixel. Indian consumers are increasingly embracing technology that enhances their everyday lives. By introducing direct-to-consumer sales, we aim to offer not just hardware but intelligent tools that fuel creativity, boost productivity, and keep users connected. This is a key step in our long-term commitment to India's digital future.”
To make Pixel devices more accessible, the India Google Store offers a range of customer-focused financing and trade-in options:
-
No-cost EMI through HDFC Bank and over 15 partner banks
-
Instant cashback on EMI payments via select HDFC Bank credit cards
-
Exchange bonus for trading in older smartphones, with additional perks for existing Pixel users
-
Store credits for use on future purchases
This direct sales launch supports Google’s broader strategy to make Pixel and the wider Google ecosystem more accessible. Pixel devices are already available at 25+ leading retail partners, including Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, Poorvika, and Sangeetha, with presence across 2,000+ stores in India. In-store fixtures at over 200 outlets also enhance hands-on experience.
Post-purchase support has been a key focus. Google now offers same-day phone repair at 20 service centres, including three Google Exclusive facilities. Around 70% of devices are fixed the same day. Additionally, customers can use free doorstep pick-up and drop-off via a mail-in repair service. The Google Store also now allows users to self-initiate repair requests online and schedule pick-ups.
Pixel’s appeal lies in its deep integration of Google’s Tensor chip, Android OS, and powerful AI features. Whether it’s a context-aware assistant or intelligent camera capabilities, Pixel devices are designed to deliver personalized, intuitive experiences that resonate with Indian users.
