HCL adopts Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and Oracle Database 11g

Oracle partner, HCL Infosystems has shifted its bilingual core banking software, HCL BancMate CBS, to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (Oracle Weblogic 11g) and Oracle Database 11g. The Oracle-based HCL BancMate CBS solution will help firms in the financial services industry automate transactions, facilitate branch operations at a faster pace and manage more transactions per day.

The solution will target India’s financial service industry namely Public Sector Banks for Financial Inclusion, Regional Rural Banks, State and District Co-operative banks, Urbank Co-operative Banks and Primary Agricultural Credit societies. Oracle WebLogic 11g has enabled HCL BancMate CBS with more functionality, security, scalability and performance to service 6000+ concurrent users. It enables seamless integration of all institutional delivery channels and enterprise-wide systems. On the other hand, Oracle Database 11g enables enterprises, including banks, to deliver a high quality of service and provide 24x7 data availability. Moreover, it helps enterprises to securely protect data and meet regulatory compliance demands.

HCL BancMate is a bilingual (multilingual) 3 tier, Web based centralized comprehensive banking software solution, capable of performing all banking operations and functions. It is available under various options like distributed mode (BancMate TBA), Centralised Mode (BancMate CBS) and hybrid mode.

“We are delighted that HCL Infosystems is powered by Oracle’s latest technologies, which can enhance the performance of BancMate CBS,” said Shailender Kumar, Vice President, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle India. “The IT requirements of the co-operative banking segment are unique and we believe this joint solution will provide them with the opportunity to improve their services and grow their network and business.”
