Oracle Middleware 11g establishes its Footing in India

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g is a complete, integrated and hot-pluggable, best-of-breed middleware suite. It offers increased functionality across its product portfolio including new, innovative capabilities in Oracle SOA Suite,Oracle BPM Suite, Oracle Tuxedo, Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle WebCenter Suite and Oracle Identity Management. It also happens to be the first product from the Oracle stable after its successful acquisition of BEA Systems in 2008.

“With Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, Oracle is transforming the way customers develop, run and manage their custom, packaged and composite business applications,” said Shailendra Kumar, Vice-President, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle India. “It is built on open standards and was developed in close coordination with members of our partner and customer community. It aims to help customers realize the promise of modern IT efficiency.”

With a worldwide market estimated to be around $15 million, Oracle Middleware has come a long way ever since its launch in July 2009. In India, partners such as SysArc Infomatix and HCL Infosystems are seen switching their software applications from competing middleware platforms to Oracle’s Middleware and this has been possible with help from Oracle India’s Partner Solution Center (PSC) located in Gurgaon. SysArc has also recently enabled its Lending Automation Processing System Solution (LAPS) on Oracle WebLogic Server with help from PSC.

“The new features in Oracle fusion Middleware 11g are important for our LAPS solution,” said Sundar Garg, President & CEO, SysArc Infomatix. “As Oracle Weblogic Server is less complex and easier to set up, deploy and manage, it leads to lower TCO as compared to other middleware technologies available in the industry.”

With close-to 3,000 new features, Middleware is here to enable customers and partners to innovate rapidly while cutting cost and complexity out of their IT infrastructure.
