HP has appointed Jos Brenkel as Senior Vice-President of HP's Personal Systems Group (PSG) in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) with immediate effect. In his new role, Brenkel will be responsible for overseeing all the key elements of PSG business to efficiently drive growth and profitability in the region. Brenkel will report to Todd Bradley, Executive Vice-President for PSG worldwide, and be based out of Singapore.
Prior to this, Brenkel was the Vice-President & General Manager for PSG, Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa (MEMA). With the charter to maximize PSG profit and revenue growth in the MEMA region, Brenkel successfully drove small and medium business sales by hosting the HP commercial go-to-market engine for all HP product categories. Brenkel led his team in all PSG go-to-market elements, including sales, operational supply chain, marketing, SMB support and category management.
Brenkel has held various leadership positions since he joined HP in 1986. He led the Solution Partners Organization in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), drove the European business PC operations as Vice-President & General Manager, and spent two years in the United States as worldwide marketing manager for business PCs, amongst other roles. In all, Brenkel has spent all but three of his HP years in PSG.
"We are fortunate to have Jos leading the key elements of our business to efficiently drive growth and profitability in the region," said Todd Bradley, Executive Vice-President, Personal Systems Group, HP. "With his long track record of thought leadership and results, I look forward to his contributions in this important region for HP."
