HP(NYSE:HPQ) is all set to enter the nascent market of 3D printers in June. The plan was revealed by the company CEO Meg Whitman at the firmâs annual shareholder meeting
HP will primarily focus on the enterprise, as the company believes that most 3D-printing business would be found âin the enterprise space".
This âbig technology announcementâ by the HP is in line with the belief in the industry that the company is going to launch 3D printers in the middle of 2014.

Last year at the Canalys Channels Forum in Bangkok, Meg Whitman had said, âWe are excited about 3D printing⊠we want to lead this business. HP Labs is looking at it.âAccording to Meg Whitman, HP had solved two big technical problems that worked as potential obstacles to any serious offerings.
