iGATE’s CIO Chella Namasivayam bags ISLA Award
iGATE Corporation has announced that its Chief Information Officer, Chella Namasivayam M, has been recognized as an honoree for the Seventh Annual Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA) Program of (ISC)² information security professional body and administrators of the CISSP.
Part of (ISC)²'s global Awards Program, ISLA aims to recognize the ongoing commitment by information security leaders in Asia-Pacific, who have significantly enhanced the workforce by demonstrating a leadership role in an information security workforce improvement initiative, program or project.
Chella Namasivayam M, CIO, iGATE, said, I feel deeply honoured to receive such an important recognition. We, at iGATE, thank the jury and (ISC)² for crediting the efforts made in successful accomplishment of our project, ‘Amalgamating Elements of the Data Privacy Framework in Existing Information Security Management System’, by this accolade.
Chella added that this project was very unique in nature because of diversified obligations in various geographies and expectations of iGATE’s customers and employees in perspective of privacy and handling of personal information. And this award recognizes iGATE’s excellence in governing privacy.
