Indoor LTE Femtocell Base Stations
NEC Corporation has launched new indoor LTE Femtocell base stations for telecom carriers. The base stations achieve high-speed, high-volume wireless communications. The new product is available in two models, one designed for enterprise and another for residential customers. The base stations will be available in the second quarter of 2012.
Tadatoshi Fujiwara, Sr. VP, NEC Europe said, "NEC has an extensive track record in the Femtocell market, having made agreements with 18 telecom carriers around the world to deliver comprehensive Femtocell systems that include femto gateways, base stations and 39 trials. NEC plays a central role as a board member of the Small Cell Forum, a gathering of Femtocell-related telecom carriers and vendors, and for three years running has received awards from the Forum in recognition of its efforts in the field."
