Infinix HOT 70 Pro debuts in India with 144Hz display, 50MP Sony camera

The new Infinix smartphone combines a colour-changing design, Active Matrix Cube, Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, 6000mAh battery and Android 16 with features aimed at performance, entertainment and personalisation.

Infinix has launched the HOT 70 Pro in India, targeting young consumers with a smartphone that combines an expressive design with performance-focused hardware and interactive features. The device introduces the company’s Dynamic Shine Design alongside an Active Matrix Cube on the rear panel.

The HOT 70 Pro comes with a 144Hz FHD+ display, 50MP Sony IMX882 camera system, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor, IP68 protection and a 6000mAh battery with 45W FastCharge. It runs on Android 16 and is offered with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Commenting on the launch, Miraj Gupta, CMO, Infinix India, said: “Smartphones keep getting smarter. At Infinix, we think they can have more personality too. Dynamic design and interactive rear panel

The HOT 70 Pro introduces Dynamic Shine Design, which uses different finishes to make the phone’s appearance more interactive. The smartphone is available in Thermo Orange, Mirage Green, Silk Glow Purple and Dive Blue.

Thermo Orange uses a thermochromic finish that changes colour with temperature, while Mirage Green responds to UV light and glows in the dark. Silk Glow Purple features a texture that changes with viewing angles, and Dive Blue comes with a matte finish. The device measures up to 7.85mm in thickness.

A key feature is the Active Matrix Cube (AMC) on the rear. Beyond conventional notification indicators, the system provides lighting effects for activities including startup, music playback and gaming. It also supports interactive games such as Lucky Wheel and Lucky Numbers.

The AMC can display alerts for calls, messages, charging, low battery, camera and video activity, countdowns and weather. Through Matrix Studio, users can create customised patterns and emojis, with creations also shareable between HOT 70 Pro devices.

144Hz display and Sony camera

The smartphone features a 6.76-inch FHD+ Punch Hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling and peak brightness of up to 910 nits HBM. The display offers a screen-to-body ratio of up to 91.86%, aiming to provide a more immersive viewing experience for gaming and content consumption.

For photography, the HOT 70 Pro gets a 50MP Sony IMX882 camera system with features including Live Photo Mode and AI Eraser. The latter enables users to remove unwanted objects or people from images. An 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Dimensity 7100 5G and 6000mAh battery

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G platform, paired with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU. Infinix says the phone can support gaming at up to 90fps in popular titles, while UFS 2.2 storage is designed to improve everyday responsiveness.

The device houses a 6000mAh battery and supports 45W FastCharge. According to the company, the battery can reach 50% capacity in around 25 minutes and a full charge in approximately 63 minutes under stated testing conditions. Super Fast Charging and Smart Charging modes are also included.

The HOT 70 Pro additionally features a One-Tap AI Button, which can be configured for quick access to more than 50 applications. Users can assign Gemini to the button, while the Power button also provides direct access to Gemini.

Running Android 16, the smartphone is promised three major OS updates and five years of security patches. NFC support is also included.

Price and availability

The Infinix HOT 70 Pro starts at ₹22,999 under the Day 1 offer, inclusive of applicable bank offers. It will be available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB configurations across Silk Glow Purple, Dive Blue, Thermo Orange and Mirage Green.

The smartphone will be sold through Flipkart and retail stores across India, with No Cost EMI options available for three, six and nine months.
