As per a latest update, Basab Pradhan, the group head of sales and marketing, Infosys, has resigned from his post. If reports are to be believed, he is willing to start his own venture. Pradhan, who joined Infosys for a second stint in June 2011, has announced his exit via a Twitter post. He tweeted, Leaving Infosys to go back to the start-up world. To all my friends at Infosys please stay in touch.
Basab was also a member of Infosys' Executive Council.
It is worth noticing here that Basab played numerous important roles across different verticals, including sales, marketing, industry solutions and P&L leadership during his tenure at Infosys. The company grew from $400 million to $2 billion under his guidance as the head of global sales.
Pradhan was serving as head of global sales when he first quit Infosys in 2005.
