Intel has announced that Gregory Bryant was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Intel Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Bryant is responsible for all sales, marketing and enabling of Intel products in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan and China.
Bryant said, "Asia-Pacific today stands at the forefront of global technology growth and innovation. Emerging markets, like Indonesia and India, will account for most worldwide growth in the PC market over the next few years, with demand for cloud computing on the rise."
He added, "In addition, three of the world's 10 largest OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) are based in Taiwan and South Korea, and two of those companies are among the world's fastest-growing OEMs. Taiwan and South Korea have emerged as global centers of consumer electronics design and innovation, and they are leading the way forward with some of the world’s best Ultrabook, tablet and smartphone designs for 2012 and beyond."
