Kaspersky Lab is said to identify a huge scope of penetration in the potential markets of tier two and tier three cities. The company in its bid to acquire more markets is now exploring these cities.
The awareness of using genuine software is low in the smaller cities and underdeveloped areas as compared to metros. In order to tap this market, the company focuses on generating a better distribution network and thus, appointing new partners in such areas. Kaspersky Lab along with its National distributor M/s Sakri is looking at increasing the number of Platinum, Gold and Silver partners. In order to educate the benefits of using genuine Anti-Virus to its partners, Sakri will be conducting training sessions through web as well as classroom sessions.
Jagannath Patnaik, Director Channel sales, Kaspersky Lab- South Asia said, "We would explore the markets further as the year proceeds, as we see the Indian rural market flaunting its growth at a faster pace." By mid 2012, the IT security leader aims to spread its wings in all the state capitals and market places across the nation.
RaviLaxman, CEO, Sakri said, "They are strengthening their tech-support call centre, by increasing the number of support engineers to 50 from the current 30 seater. They strongly believe that with added support infrastructure they would be able to increase partner confidence and capture better market share."
