Lenovo turns its tablet into a Broadway musical star in new #DamnTheOdds campaign with Abhay Verma

Featuring actor Abhay Verma, the India campaign pairs music, theatre and technology to pitch the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 as an AI-enabled tablet for Gen Z and Millennial users juggling work, learning and ambition.

Lenovo has launched a new India campaign, #DamnTheOdds, featuring actor Abhay Verma. Announced in Bengaluru, the campaign brings together music, theatre and technology to showcase the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, a tablet the company describes as built for smart and productive use, with AI-powered tools that help users organise, visualise, multitask and absorb more.

The campaign targets Gen Z and Millennial audiences who increasingly look for technology that supports productivity and learning. Combining Broadway-inspired visuals, a catchy musical composition and everyday product applications, it reinforces the idea that the tablet enables possibility, helping people embrace new opportunities and take centre stage in their own journeys.

A high-energy musical set on a Broadway stage

Staged against an old-school Broadway backdrop, the film follows Abhay as he prepares for the role of a boxer while juggling scripts, training sessions, meetings and personal commitments. Seamless transitions between his bedroom, gymnasium, car and film set capture his fast-paced world, with the tablet woven naturally into his daily routine.

Through relatable situations such as reviewing scripts, exploring visual references, making notes and managing multiple tasks, the film shows how the device can support people pursuing ambitions across different areas of life. The narrative moves beyond conventional product demonstrations to show how technology can help users stay organised, express ideas and make progress towards their goals.

What the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 offers

Designed for users who move between work and learning, the tablet features a 13-inch 3.5K PureSight Pro display with Dolby Vision, a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, supporting responsive multitasking and demanding applications.

Its AI-powered tools, including Lenovo AI Notes, Smarter Reader and Live Transcript, help users organise notes, engage with learning material and manage information more efficiently.

The tablet supports a keyboard, and select variants come with the keyboard bundled. Tab Pen Plus support is included with every variant, enabling handwritten notes, annotations and creative expression, while four JBL speakers optimised with Dolby Atmos deliver immersive audio.
