Microsoft has introduced a new Three Dimensional (3D)Headset- HoloLens.The new headset allows interaction with holographic images, people can play video games, build 3-D models and hold video conferences. It was revealed at an event displaying Windows 10.
The company describes holograms as "the next evolution in computing". The headset is a part of emerging category augmented reality, in which virtual 3D objects appear to be inserted into the real world.
The headset will be completely wireless, with its own high-end CPU and GPU—and it will have a third chip, a Holographic Processing Unit, or HPU.
The company said the headset would be available around the same time that Windows 10 is released, which is expected to be this year.
Before Microsoft, Facebook and Google have already introduced 3D headset in the industry.
