Microsoft Surface being sold only through its stores may have a dent in its sales. Microsoft which has relied on its partners for so long will now be competing with them.
This brings optimism in Google Chromebook's stable as Google partners feel that Surface may help them as they move ahead to offer Chromebooks to their customers.
The Surface tablets are Microsoft's maiden real attempt at making and selling a computing device. Considering Microsoft has more than 600,000 partners worldwide, getting them each to buy one unit definitely escalates the sales. For any other company, 600,000 units sold would be a gigantic achievement.
