The Redmond giant Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT) is all set to make another acquisition. As per the latest update, Microsoft is in final talks to acquire a mobile start-up - Xamarin.
It is worth mentioning here that Micrsoft and Xamarin had announced an official partnership back in November 2013, intending to make it easier for developers to build native mobile apps for iOS and Android using Visual Studio.
Market watchers added that Xamarin acquisition will help Microsoft finding solution for longstanding problem with the low app count on its app store. Xamarin’s tools can be used to code iOS and Android apps using Microsoft’s Visual Studio and application life-cycle management tools such as Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, multiple IDEs and runs on- premise or in the cloud.
In the absence of any official statement regarding Microsoft’s latest acquisition, it is difficult to say anything confirmed for now as spokespersons from both Xamarin and Microsoft have declined to comment, when contacted.
