Following Apple and Google, the Redmond giant Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT) has unleashed its own voice-enabled personal assistant "Cortana". Cortana reportedly uses natural language commands to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, send e-mails, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of Web services.
It seems Microsoft is a bit late for introducing voice-enabled personal assistant in the market as Apple had introduced a similar feature with name Siri in iPhone 4S, back in 2011 and even Google had unwrapped its voice assistance feature Google Now in mid-2012.
According to the latest information available, Microsoft will officially release its own voice-enabled personal assistant in April 2014. However, it is difficult to say anything for now as the company has not announced anything officially.
Let us see, whether users will like Microsoft’s Cortana or not?
