MobiKwik Android App reaches 1 Million Downloads Milestone

MobiKwik has announced reaching the one million downloads milestone for its mobile wallet App on the Android platform within 12 months since its launch.
 
The company attributes this fast growth of the App to ease-of-use, convenience and security. MobiKwik’s Android App has consistently been highly rated for being simple-to-use, fast and light. The app is 700KB in size, that makes it the lightest in its category. It is one of the top four Shopping Apps on the Google Play store for Android.
 
According to the company, across all platforms the MobiKwik wallet App has more than 2 million downloads, and over 2 million transactions processed every month.
 
Bipin Preet Singh, CEO & Founder, MobiKwik, expressed, “We expect to reach the next milestone of 5 million downloads for the Android app in 2014. We aim to develop the App into a complete wallet solution.”
 
“Our projections indicate that in the next five years, more than 300 million Indians would attempt to do their first digital transaction using a smartphone. We hope that this first transaction will be completed via a MobiKwik wallet,” he added.
 
To celebrate the one million-download milestone, MobiKwik has announced a limited time cashback offer of 10% to its MobiKwik wallet Android App users and has allocated Rs.1 million for this campaign. This offer will be run till December 31, 2013.
