NEC has announced the beginning of global sales for its "Traffic Optimizing Solution" that reduces network traffic for telecommunication carriers by optimizing the transmission volume of video data, compressing text and optimizing static images to best suit specific mobile device capabilities and wireless environments.
Tsunehisa Enoki, Executive Specialist, NEC Corporation said, "NEC's Traffic Optimizing Solution reduces network traffic by approximately 20% through customizing the delivery of data for individual devices. Once introducing the solution to a communication carrier's network, data is delivered at a pace that is customized to the playback speed of each mobile device and its network status."
Traffic Optimizing Solution features Dynamic optimization based on network bandwidth estimation, Prevention of playback interruption and Text compression and image optimization.
