New Java Curriculum introduced

The Oracle Academy is expanding its programme to include more services for secondary and post-secondary schools, including a new Java offering that will support hundreds of thousands of students.

"For nearly 20 years, Oracle has worked to advance education with innovative technology programmes. As we expand the Oracle Academy to include a new Java offering, we intend to help more students graduate into the workplace with a competitive edge," said Clare Dolan, Vice-President, Oracle Corporate Citizenship.

"Our Java curriculum for secondary schools is designed to awaken students’ interest in computer science/engineering. Few subjects will open as many doors for students in the 21st century as computer science/engineering and we are pleased to support educators to promote them," said Alison Derbenwick Miller, Vice-President, Oracle Academy.
