Bihar is all set in see the Information Technology (IT) park in the coming time. It is going to be set up at Bhita, 30 km away from the state capital Patna. The IT park will be built on Public-private partnership basis. According to sources the construction work will begin next year. It is said that the state government has acquired 25 acres for the IT park.
According to officials, a private consultancy company was hired to survey the land and to prepare a business plan for the proposed IT Park. The IT park would have high bandwidth facility for high-speed internet and uninterrupted power supply. It is also said that IT giants like Infosys have shown interest for a plot near Bihar after the state government acquired hundreds of acres for setting up an IIT campus there.
