OPPO’s Hunter Antenna Architecture, with its symmetrical low-frequency layout and 200mm antenna covering 84.5% of the device, guarantees optimal connectivity in any orientation, making it perfect for seamless gaming and video streaming experiences
OPPO has officially launched its much-anticipated F29 Series in India, positioning it as a “Durable Champion” in the mid-range smartphone category. Featuring advanced 5G capabilities, flagship-grade hardware, and exceptional durability, the F29 and F29 Pro are designed to meet the needs of India’s fast-growing digital and mobile-first population.
In a strategic partnership with Jio, India’s top 5G service provider (as per Ookla’s latest report), the OPPO F29 Series has demonstrated outstanding network performance during real-world tests in Bengaluru and Mumbai. These tests revealed superior 5G speeds and reliability, setting a new standard within its segment.
Key to this performance is OPPO’s custom-engineered Hunter Antenna Architecture, which uses a symmetrical low-frequency layout and an industry-best 200mm antenna length that covers 84.5% of the phone’s perimeter. This ensures optimal connectivity regardless of how users hold their devices—vertically or horizontally—ideal for gamers and video streamers alike.
The devices also bring 4x4 MIMO support to frequency bands B40, B3, and B39—a first in this category—delivering faster download speeds and better signal stability in low-coverage zones. OPPO’s AI LinkBoost 2.0 enhances this further with real-time connectivity adjustments, including an elevator mode and dedicated dual-hand grip gaming antennas that boost uplink power and prevent signal drops.
Performance, durability, and battery life
Performance-wise, the F29 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, offering a peak AnTuTu score above 740,000, while the standard F29 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with a score above 650,000—ensuring lag-free gaming, multitasking, and media consumption.
Both devices are built to last, featuring 360° Armour Body construction and triple IP ratings—IP69, IP68, and IP66—making them resistant to water, dust, and accidental drops. OPPO has designed them for India’s on-the-move workforce, from gig workers to entrepreneurs.
The series also debuts large-capacity batteries in the F series: 6500mAh with 45W fast charging in the base model and 6000mAh with 80W charging in the Pro variant. Both models support reverse charging and come with a 5-year battery durability certification, with tested performance in extreme weather conditions.
With its blend of innovation, resilience, and top-tier connectivity, the OPPO F29 Series is built to power the ambitions of India’s next-gen users.
