The initiative aims to equip students and professionals across Uttar Pradesh with in-demand digital skills in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity and data science, supporting employability and the state’s long-term digital transformation goals.
Oracle has announced a collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) to provide advanced digital skills training to 300,000 students and professionals by 2029, in a move aimed at strengthening the state’s technology talent pipeline.
Under the initiative, learners will receive training in emerging technology areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity and data science. The programme is designed to improve employability and prepare participants for opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
The training curriculum will include more than 300 hours of structured learning pathways covering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), OCI Enterprise AI, OCI Data Science, Oracle APEX, OCI DevOps and Oracle Security technologies.
Focus on building a future-ready workforce
The programme will be delivered free of cost through UPSDM’s Oracle MyLearn platform, a digital learning and enablement ecosystem developed by Oracle University. The platform offers foundational cloud education, professional certification programmes and role-based learning opportunities tailored to different skill levels.
Participants will also have the opportunity to earn digital badges and industry-recognized certifications, enabling them to demonstrate their technical expertise to prospective employers.
“With one of the largest youth populations in the country, Uttar Pradesh is well positioned to build a strong, future-ready workforce,” said Dr. Hari Om, principal secretary, Vocational Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. “Our collaboration with Oracle reflects the state government’s commitment to empowering the next generation of talent by enhancing employability at scale and preparing youth for opportunities in a global, technology-driven economy. This initiative will further strengthen the state’s talent pipeline and support its long-term digital and economic growth.”
Highlighting the impact of the initiative, Pulkit Khare, mission director, Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, said, “Through this collaboration with Oracle, we are making industry-relevant digital skills training accessible to learners across Uttar Pradesh at an unprecedented scale. By equipping students and professionals with in-demand skills in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and data science, we are helping create a future-ready workforce aligned with the needs of a rapidly evolving economy.”
Supporting India’s digital talent ambitions
Oracle said the initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen India’s position as a global hub for digital innovation and emerging technologies.
